Doodling the Docks by local artist Matt Ponting, 31 Aug 2019
This August, Royal Albert Dock invites all to take part in two fantastic, free and family-friendly events at RAD London. Discover amazing outdoor music on the 31 August with the
EFG London Jazz Festival Summer Stage, and get involved with interactive art exhibition Doodling the Docks, which starts on the 31 August and runs throughout the summer until the 29 September.
Located a short walk along the waterside from the EFG London Jazz Festival Summer Stage, local illustrator Matt Ponting will present up to 40 of his original creations in an interactive exhibition, alongside running a series of workshops.
Focusing on various landmarks and architectural gems found throughout the Royal Docks, visitors will be inspired to explore the local area through Matt’s quirky and colorful illustrations and a free tailormade walk of the Royal Docks map.
There will also be a chance for people attending to take part in a doodling competition at the workshops and to win one of Matt’s original artworks.
The new RAD international business district is being transformed into a vibrant area and these fun-filled activities bring fresh sights and sounds as well as original art and a host of food and drink options to help showcase the district to all.
